2012 hours is a fundraising project run by the Winchester Sport Art and Leisure Trust (SALT), which aims to provide and enhance community sport, art and leisure for the people of Winchester, Hampshire. 2012 hours builds on the work undertaken by the Winchester Fit for the Future project, which aims to secure a lasting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics for people living in the Winchester area of Hampshire, UK. Winchester Fit for the Future has focused its efforts on developing proposals for new sports and leisure facilities, working with local sports clubs, the University of Winchester, national governing bodies (NGBs) for different sports and other experts. It has had pro bono support from a number of businesses, including Studio Four Architects, who developed the site plans you see on the 2012 hours homepage.
